Who we are
This website is run by Ampersand Media International Ltd, trading as Ampersand International, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 11065934), registered office 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom. We are the controller of personal data collected through this site. Contact us at ampersandmedia@mail.com.
What we collect
If you use our contact form we receive what you enter: your name, email address, company, the kind of project, budget and timing, your message, and any frames or films you shortlisted. We don't ask for anything else, and we don't use the form for marketing.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to prepare and deliver the project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
Who handles it for us
- Web3Forms receives the form and forwards it to our inbox.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any web host, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep them secure.
- Google Fonts serves the typeface, which means your browser requests it from Google.
- Vimeo and YouTube host our films. Previews and players load from their servers when you open the Motion page or play a film; we use their privacy-friendlier embed options (Vimeo "do not track" and youtube-nocookie.com).
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser keeps your Stills and Motion shortlists, and whether you've seen the opening animation, in session storage on your own device only; it clears when you close the tab.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a project are deleted within two years. Records for client work are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it, by emailing ampersandmedia@mail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
